7,400 AAdvantage Miles & One Year Motley Fool Subscription for $99

My name is Mike LaRosa and not only am I a Coworkaholic, but I’m also addicted to points and miles. So much so that I’m documenting my experience of an American Airlines Status Match Challenge. In the process, I’ve stumbled across some great eShopping offers. This is one of them:

7,400 AAdvantage Miles & One Year Motley Fool Subscription for $99

Playing the stock market can be fun, albeit a bit boring these days, compared to cryptocurrency. That said, there’s one resource I’ve always turned to when researching the small investments I make quasi-day trading: The Motley Fool. A free website first published way back in 1993, The Motley Fool has some of the best advice out there. Besides their free stock news and analysis they also have subscription services, some awesome podcasts and even their very own mutual fund!

It had been about 5 months since I let my Stock Advisor subscription lapse. Mainly due to the fact that most of my extra money is being invested in AgoraRDM (and Coworkaholic) in addition to the fact that I’m starting to sell off a bit and start stashing cash for an impending market correction. That said, I was reminded that I’d been dragging my feet to renew once I saw there was a 7,400 AAdvantage mile promotion!

eShopping Airline Shopping Portals

Most airlines have shopping portals where you can set up your account to earn you miles on everyday purchases. Usually you’ll be able to earn 1-3 miles for every dollar you spend (sometimes with a minimum spend amount). In addition to portals, there are also apps where you can buy gift cards, earning miles for every dollar you load as well.

What’s great about these portals are the bonus promotions they’ll occasionally offer. If you were to buy 7,400 AAdvantage miles, it would cost you $206.50. Thanks to this current Motley Fool promotion, you get a one year Stock Advisor subscription (a $199/yr value) AND 7,400 AAdvantage miles for only $99! (Note that if you were to subscribe to The Motley Fool Stock Advisor through the portal, you’d normally earn 5,000 miles.)

Full disclosure: You can get the same discount on a one year subscription through the United Airlines eShopping portal…but you only get 3900 miles (when you regularly get 2600 miles). Now that The Points Guys has valued both programs at 1.4 cents per mile…buying this through AAdvantage seems to be a better option. Not to mention American Airlines provides upgrades to elite passengers on both paid AND award tickets.
