Nomad Summit 2018: How Coworking Saved My Life

This past January 2018, I had the honor and privilege to speak to over 450 attendees at Nomad Summit 2018. To say I was nervous would be a total and complete understatement. While it wouldn’t be the first time I’d be speaking to that size of an audience, it was the first time that I’d be sharing an incredibly personal story, rather than presenting professional content such as industry data, case studies and the like.

I was also very different from all the other speakers. Johnny FD, founder of Nomad Summit does a wonderful job curating programming that offers attendees an incredible amount of knowledge sharing and education. The other presenters were teaching the room how they made millions online, or had retired before the age of 35 or simply created passive revenue generating income that allowed them to travel the world. But, there’s also this insane glamorization of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur or a digital nomad. I had to set the record straight.

So, I did. Fair warning there is adult language in this video, and it’s not exactly short. My intention for this was to speak the truth: share my failures, lessons learned and to connect with those who are also looking to create a life they love while working wherever, however and whenever…
