Alaska Airlines spoke it into existence!
They have officially been invited to be a member of the OneWorld Alliance. With just 14 members currently, American Airlines being one of them, this membership will extend many more global opportunities to Alaska Airlines’ customers.

So what does the news all mean?
What’s the Big Deal?
Well first of all, this is great news for loyal Alaska Airlines’ customers.
OneWorld Alliance has 14 members, including global names such as: Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways, Qantas, American Airlines, etc. So for Alaska, being added to this list, makes them a stronger global competitor.
The best part – the destination offerings on Alaska will be much more extensive. Plus Alaska Mileage Plan frequent flyers will have access to awesome member amenities such as OneWorld airport lounges all over the world.
