The School of Travels: Using Points & Miles to Cowork Around the World

Coworking Around the World and How to Earn and Spend Those Airline Miles with Mike LaRosa

In this episode of the podcast, I chat with the Coworkaholic-in-Chief, Mike LaRosa! Some of you might have already heard his talk How Coworking Saved My Life. Well, we dig in even deeper. Growing up in Washington, DC, Mike did all the things teachers and parents tell you to do in order to achieve the “American Dream”. Sound familiar? He isn’t alone in discovering that a post-college job in the corporate world was not for him.

Since quitting his job in 2012, he’s worked as an independent contract, eventually building an event planning firm. By 2015 he’d transitioned into consulting on coworking for some of the biggest companies in the world. Seeking something bigger, he’s now working all over the world and helping people learn how to use points and miles to travel to destinations far and wide. I hope you enjoy this interview with Mike from a rooftop in India at the end of the Rickshaw Challenge in January 2019!

Covered in this episode:

  • What is coworking and how it can change your life
  • How your life can change when you step outside of the corporate 9–5
  • Why it’s important to have a strategy for maximizing your credit card points and airline miles
  • How to make the most of your credit card spending (while making sure to not pay any interest from month to month)
