Everything You Need to Know About Silvercar’s New Loyalty Program

Silvercar, a rental car company known more for their customer service and fleet, not necessarily the cheapest rates, has just launched a loyalty program! With their new “Premium Rewards” program, now new customers or Audi owners aren’t the only ones earning perks or discounts.

What is Silvercar?

Self described as the “airport car rental experience re-imagined”, Silvercar serves the “connected business traveler”. Or, anyone looking for better cars and a simple mobile powered experience. Continuing to improve, this year alone they’ve added a larger SUV (the Q7) and new dropoff/pickup services.

Their fleet is exclusively Audi vehicles and in addition to the Q7, includes the following models:

The program is quite straight forward. Earn 1 point for every dollar spent on rentals with Silvercar (excluding taxes, fuel, coverage, and other fees). No need to worry about signing up – you’re automatically enrolled after your first rental. To redeem, all you need to do is switch to “Pay with Points” when searching for a rental.

Because renting with Silvercar comes with such a high bar of customer service, there are no tiers. Everyone is a VIP! There are NO blackout dates, points never expire. From their website, they claim that a 1 day rental is within reach with as few as 516 points. (Rental day is estimated at $49 and is subject to availability and rate changes.)

They also offer the option to book with points and cash if you don’t feel like waiting the estimated 10 rental days or so it would take to get a fully free rental.

Is It Worth It?

With prices that start as low as $59/day for the quality of the vehicle you get and from what I’ve heard from happy customers, it’s not a bad deal. Sure, you might not be able to rack up a ton of frequent flyer miles, or get a deal like a Cadillac for $18/day. But, that’s not the point. Those perks come with some downsides. With Silvercar you always know what you’re going to get.

Now, with their new loyalty program, there’s just another reason to consider booking with Silvercar.

For Silvercar and their growing number of happy customers, the premium price appears to be worth the level of comfort, performance and simplicity they can rely on.
