The age of the digital nomad has been an exciting one. And whether you’re a nomad yourself, starting your own nomad journey, or simply interested in following along with the lives of others, there are so many amazing podcasts out there to enjoy.
With more people turning a life of being a digital nomad, or at least remote working since the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, podcasts have become the new books. Perhaps even better in fact since you don’t have to carry a ton of books around with you wherever you go.
As before, there are plenty of great podcasts out there, but today I’m going to take you on a journey towards some of the best. Everyone has their own favorites, but the chances are you may find a new one right here and now. Let’s go.
Zero to Travel
As the title suggests, Zero to Travel is a podcast that focuses on all things travel-related, which, of course, is the most exciting part of digital nomading. This podcast has been around for several years now, first airing back in 2013, and it’s refreshing to see such an original take on the industry.
Yes, there are a ton of great podcasts out there that focus on the business and remote working side of nomading but having one focus on travel is so welcomed. You’ll learn all about learning new languages, destinations to travel too, and there are some fantastic guests to help inspire you.
Keep Your Daydream
Keep Your Daydream was a podcast of the podcast, at least during a two-year hiatus that the hosting couple Mark and Tricia Leach took. But now the duo is back with a passion that makes the break incredibly worthwhile.
“Whether you’re tuning in to any of the 107 episodes they recorded before their break or listening to their new and improved take on the podcast, you’ll find everything here from travel stories and experiences, as well as tips to apply to your own journey,” shares Montana Frank, a digital nomad at State Of Writing and Boom Essays.
This is one podcast that has it all.

Location Indie
There’s no denying that Location Indie is one of the more popular digital nomad podcasts out there. One with such a thriving and engaging community that you can get involved in yourself. It’s always a good idea to mingle with other like-minded individuals and share your stories and wisdom.
What I love most about this podcast is everything that comes with it. There are monthly events to get involved in, expert workshops hosted online, and in-person meetups so you can meet and greet the staff or other nomads. The episodes themselves are also a lot of fun, cementing this podcast’s place as one of the best.
Nomadtopia Radio
Hosted by the lovely Amy Scott, this is a radio podcast dedicated to inspiring you with the freedom that comes with the life of a digital nomad. There’s no hard preaching here of you must do this and be this way, but more of a sharing of Amy’s personal experiences, giving you enough breathing space to take away what you want from each episode.
The Tim Ferriss Show
Okay, okay, this isn’t technically a digital nomad podcast in the strictest sense, but you’ve obviously heard of the book The Four Hour Work Week, written by Tim Ferriss himself. There’s just so much to learn that can be applied to your own nomad journey.
“The show is all about maximising how you use your time, from learning new things and skills in a fraction of the time it would normally take, to learning new skills that can help you create the life you’ve always dreamed of. When it comes to becoming a digital nomad, the value of such information is priceless,” shares Nick Denning, a travel blogger at Australianhelp and Academic Writing Service.
Nomad Capitalist
Being a digital nomad is a lot of fun, and while I’ve focused on this a lot so far, I want to end with a podcast that’s more business-related. In the Nomad Capitalist, you’ll learn all about the business side of things, including how to make money online, how to pay taxes depending on where you are, and how to manage all your finances in a successful way.
