Review: Vallarta CoWork – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Puerto Vallarta, a resort town on the west coast of Mexico, is a destination for many “snow birds” as well as a LGBT friendly destination. There are so many reasons to visit the Banderas Bay region. Low cost of living; frequent direct flights to major hubs; mountains; beaches and beautiful sunsets. Up until recently, it was difficult to find coworking in Puerto Vallarta without traveling all the way to Sayulita.

The Coworkaholic Review

Puerto Vallarta has been a favorite vacation destination of mine for years now. I try to make it down there at least 2-3 times a year around November, January and then March. The attraction for me is a perfect blend of LGBT nightlife and culture, low cost of living as well as easy direct flights from my home base, Chicago. If staying in the Romantico Zone, there’s even high speed fiber internet! The only hang up was up until two years ago there wasn’t coworking in Puerto Vallarta.

Vallarta CoWork reached out to me via twitter and I jumped for joy when I got their message inviting me to visit my next time down there. The location is absolutely perfect. It’s right in the middle of the Romantico Zone (old town) on the main road to/from town and the airport, is close by to preferred ATMs and a great pizzeria (and of course one of the more well known LGBT nightlife venues).

Owned and managed by expats, Vallarta CoWork has a great mix of digital nomads, locals and expats of all ages. There’s a great sized open space with tables and couches, in addition to private office space available. There’s even a hammock out back overlooking the river where it meets the bay. Accessing the space is super easy, as its a 20 min walk from either the more touristy resort and cruise ship area or Amapas – Conchas Chinas. If you are driving, there’s a large parking garage next door.
