Coworking spaces are popping up EVERYWHERE! We at Coworkaholic can’t get enough of it BUT there are some downsides to everyone getting on the “coworking train”. Alex Hillman, coworking expert and OG who founded Indy Hall in Philadelphia, PA has the perfect quote for this situation. “Coworking is a term that’s become as descriptive as the word restaurant.” To paraphrase: both McDonald’s and The Palm serve hamburgers, but the experiences are really different.
We’ve been to plenty of “coworking” spaces that end up being that but in name only. Yesterday, I got the chance to check out Office Depot’s take on coworking. Low and behold, it’s actually what they say it is! Besides having great hours of availability, a full time community manager AND free snacks, they also incorporate local programs and partnerships.

The location in Evanston, IL is up and running! And they are ready to welcome more coworkers. The space’s hours are currently 8 am – 8 pm M-F, 9 am – 7 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am – 6 pm on Sundays.
