Hana Resort Joins World of Hyatt; Scheduled to Reopen in October

The lovely island of Maui. Known for it’s indescribable beach views and lush rainforests, the island is a true travel destination. The Travaasa Hāna resort, a great choice for lodging in Maui pre-COVID-19, has been rebranded.

The resort now goes by the name, the Hāna-Maui Resort. And speaking of changes, they are now a member of the Hyatt Destination Hotels family.

This change is great news for World of Hyatt members since loyalty benefits can be used at this Hana resort. The resort includes suites, bungalows, family residences, and more making this the perfect socially distant vacation.

The resort is currently closed as tourists are not allowed on the island just yet. Hawaii plans to reopen to tourists starting October 1st, 2020 and the resort will follow suit. But of course, this may change since the island originally planned to reopen just a few days ago.

The October reopening does come with a catch however. It’s not as simple as booking your flight and carrying on. The Hawaiian government is constantly changing their requirements for incoming tourists. There’s talk about keeping the 14-day quarantine requirement, getting rid of it, coming up with a new plan and requiring pre-testing, and so on… Just be sure to stay up to date with all of the upcoming changes before planning your trip.
