Lesson 36: Cycling New Zealand with the Spinning Noodle Sisters, Gina & Nina!

Have you ever dreamed of taking a cross-country cycling trip? Doesn’t it sound great right about now? You get outside, get on the bike, and just ride off into the sunset with the big, wide world around you. Gina Bourne and Nina Mariana Pascha, best friends since their student days in Chiang Mai, Thailand, took their very first cycling trip in 2019 in New Zealand, after dreaming for the last 10 years about working and living in the country.

What I love about Gina and Nina’s story is how down to earth it is, and how they start at Point A without any training and learn to love the road and the journey along the way. After talking with them for an hour, I was ready to make my next big trip a cycling trip. You just might too! Join us for a story of adventure and discovery on the South Island of New Zealand. There will be noodles, there will be chocolate, there will be dance breaks!

What we cover in this episode:

  • How Gina and Nina turned their dreams of working and living in New Zealand into reality
  • What it’s like to go on a long-term cycling trip with no prior training
  • How much Gina and Nina spent on their 2-month cycling trip in New Zealand
  • What to eat and where to stay on a cycling trip to New Zealand
