Episode 25: Starting a Scalable Online Business to Create Passive Income with SEO Expert and Musician Alex Castro
Alex Castro got started with a location independent life later than many out there (at almost age 40), but he got started in the online world earlier than most and has been designing websites for more than 15 years. Alex’s skills as a musician have recently led him to create a flamenco guitar school online with his fellow musician friend Jaco in his hometown of Granada, Spain and he gives us step-by-step insights into how to approach creating a scalable information product business online. We also talk about his transition to a location independent lifestyle, including his thoughts on Chiang Mai, Thailand vs. Canggu, Bali, both popular destinations for people in the digital nomad/remote worker scene. There are upsides and downsides to this lifestyle, and we’re going to talk about them both. Direct to you from Granada, Spain, here’s Alex!
Covered in this episode:
- Alex’s process for creating an information product business online through his idea for an online guitar flamenco school
- How Alex started out making out a living and made the transition to living on the road
- How you can start your digital nomad lifestyle by starting close to your hometown
- Why it’s important to go to a hotspot for digital nomads when just starting out in the location independent lifestyle
